High tech experience for NSJ participants
What they said about the exchange programme
Maureen Katire (Namibia)

My name is Maureen Katire from Namibia. I am attached at the Channel Africa English news desk writing stories. The experience has been an eye-opener because where I come from the technology is not as high tech as the one I found at Channel Africa. I also found that the staff here is more committed to their work and this is something that I will take home. At Channel Africa the sources of news are diverse and many.
The working environment here is excellent. I am getting the necessary support from my supervisors. The NSJ exchange programme is beneficial. Though I knew I was a journalist I did not know much about journalism until I arrived at Channel Africa.
I am happy with the style of life in Johannesburg.
George Sanzila (Namibia)

I am George Sanzila from Namibia working for the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) under the Lozi language service. It is my first time to be in Johannesburg. The size of the city is amazing. Since I came to Channel Africa I have learnt a lot of things. The technology here is similar to what I use at NBC and it will be a matter of expanding my knowledge.
The working environment is amazing especially meeting a lot of people from different cultures. The programme has been beneficial and I gained a lot of experience from my supervisor and other colleagues which will go a long way in improving my operations back at home.
