Very good choise of theme and subject - this was really interesting listening!
Where he mentions his familys difficulties with him leaving for Iraq, I would like to hear their perspective of the story in a short soundclip or even just a comment in the text. That would add something to the story, I think.

The sound is also good, maybe a little acustic, ecco-sound if I should pick on something.
But I won't - this was well done, guys!

keep it up!

Great post, Melvej. I find the "*Part of the rise can be explained by increased supply"-comment especially interesting as the supply continues to grow. It'll be exciting to see how the consumers react as they are more and more often offered material as free downloads on the web.

The "Cultural Heritage Project" (Site in Danish: http://www.danskkulturarv.dk/) is one of these offerings creating an unprecedented resource of media from a variety of contributors. The "CopyDan" agreement behind this total digitalization of archives - from Danish Broadcasting Corp. and The Danish National Museum among others - frees the rights of the material in its whole, and this is something that has never been seen anywhere else in the world.

The public will have a say in what gets digitalized first, they'll have the ability to find podcasts of that very special episode of their favorite show 50 years back and they'll have an even greater motivation to adapt digital sound (and video) as a part of their everyday lives.

It might not be a revolution waiting to happen, but I think it'll surely speed up the evolution of digital media consumption in Denmark.
