The streets of Århus are so dirty that the number of renovation workers had to be doubled during the Festival- week. People need to make good intentions in to real action, says proffesor in economic psycology.
Fysical handicaped people are struggeling to get into the workmarket. Many of them have to use social welfare, and they are thrown around in a system of not getting to use their skills. Huset Venture has taken this problem seriously, and are today the only company in Denmark driven by and for fysical handicaped people.
Many kids would love to start playing Ice Hockey, but everyone can’t. Ice Hockey is a really expensive sport, with high costs for different sorts of equipment. The situation is quite the same throughout all Scandinavia.
The moped gang Teufelskerle has made their own rebellious event at Aarhus Festuge. They find the offered activities dull and uninspiring.
“Aarhus Festuge suffers from a disease called Syndrome of the Middle-aged. It only appeals to people who have passed forty and who have lots of money in their pockets to spend. They are easily entertained by simple comedy and bicycles going round and round in the city. This does not interest people in their best age; from the twenties to the of age boredom - the mid thirties,” says Jonas Lysgaard, President of Teufelskerle.

At the annual festival week in Aarhus, you can enjoy lots of traditional culture and music. But there are also more alternativ concerts. The organisation “Frontløberne” (For-runners) think that also more marginalised music should have a place in the festival week. That is why they arranged a “Noise”-concert in the harbour.
These days it can be difficult to find a parkingspot in down town Århus. Soon it might be even harder.
