Creating interactive, online dialogue

We set out to not only cover Play the Game 2007 but also create an online dialogue about the subjects related to the conference. We created www.thepulse2007.org as the platform for coverage and dialogue.

The following evaluation will try to uncover the ability of the site to actually generate the commentary of which the dialogue should consist. And it will assert that we, the journalists behind the site, could have done a lot more to promote the dialogue.

Han har lige fundet sine gamle støvler frem, da han drømmer om en fast plads på skolens fodboldhold, FC Åben Modus. Han drømmer også om, engang at kunne spille DAD’s “Laugh an a Half” på sin næsten nye western guitar. Mød Troels Kaltoft; den positive, nysgerrige og sporty ungersvend fra Grindsted, som netop er vendt hjem til Århus og DJH. I sin praktiktid på DR nordjylland trykkede han selveste præsident Bill Clintons hånd…

He has just picked up the old soccerboots, cause he is dreaming of an permanent role on the schools soccerteam, FC Åbent Modus. He also dreams about playing DAD’s “Laugh an a Half” on he’s quite new western guitar. Meet Troels kaltotf; the possitive, curious and sporty young fellow from Grindsted, who just returned back to DJH and Århus. During his practical training at DR Nordjylland he squeezed the hand of Bill Clinton himself…

Close to political power in Christiansborg. Morten Romby spent one year of his internship, in the corridors of the Danish parliament. During this time he experienced firsthand how political decisions are channeled, through the media to the Danish people. “A very interesting and surprising process,” Morten Romby explains.
