About the Project
Welcome to Global Dialogue
Online Journalism and Global Dialogue is an educational project at the Danish School of Journalism, DSJ. This website is the project blog where students share and discuss aspects of online journalism, publish project assignments, and hopefully get into a constructive dialogue with online audiencies internationally.
Zoom-in
Once a week, the project blog will zoom in on the status of the platforms, video, audio, multimedia, text, photos that all together form the toolbox of contemporary journalism. The zoom-ins will present best practices, analysis, interviews, facts and figures and hopefully they will be both a source of debate and dialogue on the website as well as a resource for all who work with online journalism.
Real life project
In late October we will take the project to a concrete online coverage of the Play the Game conference in Reykjavik, Iceland. The ambiguous goal is to bring the global dialogue into the conference and at the same time make a genuine online coverage that includes the voices of those out there, that have a stake in the highly relevant Play the Game themes.
We will not only learn online journalism. We will hopefully develop it by bringing the global dialogue into journalism.
Economic support
For the Play the Game part of the project, we recieved economic support from the Nordic Council of Ministers and from the Danish regional newspaper Fynes Stiftstidende. Thank you. Without this support we would never be able to take 40 students to Iceland
