Web Video usage in Denmark

Based on the results of one week of monitoring four danish newspapers web-video activity on their homepages, they are still in the early stages of implementing web-video as a part of their own idendity.
During seven days, four danish newspapers uploaded 137 videos on to their homepages. 21 of the videos were produced by the newspapers journalists, while the rest came from various news agencies. One paper did not produce at all, while another produced one video at low quality.
Compared to the norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang (VG) even the most productive of the four danish newspapers was way below being half as productive as VG. Verdens Gang produced or voiced over 57 web-videos during a week. Especially during a local election were the newspaper very active, uploading 20 videos about the election during two days.
Most videos that were uploaded during the week were traditional journalistic videos with edited videos containting interviews and speak. However, in connection with an airplane that crashed in Aalborg Airport, both Ekstra Bladet and Jyllands-Posten publiced unedited eye-witness videos. See examples from Ekstra Bladet and Jyllands-Posten.
In general, all newspapers have specific locations at their websites for web-video/web-tv, and both Ekstra Bladet and Jyllands-Posten have designed personal jingles and graphics.
The five newspapers that were monitored were Danish newspapers Ekstra Bladet, Politiken, B.T. and Jylland-Posten, plus Verdens Gang from Norway.
