- I’m stubborn. Frederikke is not at all in doubt about which word to pin on herself. She is a lady with opinions, and if there is something, she does not want to do - she is not about to do it.

The tv-series L.A. Law was the starting point of Frederikkes number one-dream: to become a lawyer. For 10 years she had that dream, and because of it, she spend two years attending law school at the University of Aarhus. But after those two years, she realized that being a lawyer, was not her at all.
- Usually I’m interested in the most boring things, and I don’t mind reading boring theory, if I can relate it to something in the real world. But in law school I couldn’t relate any of the things they said…, she explains.
Instead she went to the matriculation test at the Danish School of Journalism, and got in at the first try. It was not that she had ever dreamed about being a journalist, but she thought “why not”, and hasn’t regretted her choice a single time since.

Frederikke grew up in the little town Nim near Horsens, where the familiy - mum, dad, her and her younger brother lived on a farm with hereford-cattle in the stable.
Her dad had (and have) his own company, producing hospital-equipment, and her mother was a socialworker, who desided to be a stay-at-home-mum, while the children where small. Later, when Frederikke moved away from home, her mum started her own business selling clothes. Something Frederikke can recommend.
- In an ideal world ones mum would sell clothes and ones dad would own a Føtex. That way you would never be without clothes or food. Or better yet, dad should own a bank!, she laughs.

Frederikke was just out of high-school when she moved away from home to France where she had gotten a job as an au pair. Without knowing a word of French. It wasn’t a problem at all, and during her stay there, she got to speak the language fluently.
- Logic and mathematics I have no understanding of, but I’m gifted when it comes to languages, she says and provides another example: two months in Sweden during her internship at Arla, is the reason why, she can now speak Swedish.

Today Frederikke lives in Trøjborg with her boyfriend Lasse, who is also a student at the Danish School of Journalism, and even though she thrives in the city-life, she dreams about the countryside and the wide ranges, she says.
